So it’s been an entire month since I’ve posted anything. I’m really hoping that doesn’t happen again. Oy. Anyways….
I’ve been pretty dang busy lately. There have been a few big tests and projects for school the past month that I’ve genuinely worked hard to pull off. I’ve been trying to put some more effort into school because: 1. It’s expensive so I might as well try and get some expensive looking grades and 2. I really need my scholarship back. But yeah between school and Chimes and Marco’s birthday month haha, it’s been pretty dang crazy.
I’ve managed to squeeze in a thoroughly lovely amount of boardfest time (aka snowboarding), but I’m hoping for another run or two this season still. One day I will live on top of a mountain and snowboard to work everyday. True story.
In a related note….. I’ve been using the word Oy a lot lately. As in, “Oy that’s some spicy chili sauce!” or “What was my grade?! Oy…” It’s been my swear word of choice.
And since we’re on the topic of random Mike updates/blurb/supreme life choices… My song of choice lately has been With Everything by Hillsong United. Ah. Glorious. It’s just a dang sweet song. One of the chapel bands plays it in chapel a lot and they do it really well. It’s flat out epic. I’m pretty sure I’ve listened to it at least three times while writing this post. And yes, I’m a terribly slow blogger.
I always think of really good rants and raves and just life thoughtfulnesses to blog about, but by the time I get around to actually blogging, I completely forget everything I was going to say. Problematic eh? Especially since it results in long pointless updates kind of like this. So we’ll skip the rest of my words and go straight to the photos:
1st set is from a truly life-changing trip to Vegas with lots of journalizers. The magazine writing class were all doing stories on different ministries in Vegas and planned a trip there. Our Advanced Photojournalism class heard the words “field trip” and was all over it. So we shot their stories. All the photogs stayed at the house of the lovely Sarah Sundeeeee and it was pretty much a festivus maximus. It ended up being me and 9 girls. Definitely interesting. Haha. A few from the strip:

Needless to say, it was awesome in a whole butt-load of ways. Definitely awesome. I also did some posters for Josh‘s Soho Senator campaign and some pretty standard other shots I was going to stick up here as well, but I think I’ll save them for another time. Maybe later today. I’ll just end with this shot instead, I think it’s my favorite from Vegas:
